Baby Messy Play


A messy play session for babies sitting up to pre-crawling.
Brilliant sensory develop for exploring babies. 
Explore the wonderful world of pumpkins with your baby.

Sessions will run as special events.

Resources & Marked Areas

We don't share resources during classes.  We only use food for messy play, which is age appropriate. Each baby has their own individual tray.
We stay 2m apart.
You are welcome to bring your own food too.  There will be a 3 foods and a pumpkin included in the price.  You are welcome to take the pumpkin home.  
You are welcome to bring favourite and spooky toys to hide in the food.

Fun and Learning!

Each family will have lots of fun in their own area for their activities.  
 We will laugh together, keep each other safe and enjoy respectful play.  We are fully inclusive.
Parents/guardians and their children can play together.
Supervision of children is required at all times.  
We are DBS checked and insured.

Session Times


Sessions are 40 minutes long. Sessions run in The Tots' Treehouse.

We allow for an hour to ensure safe entry and exit .

What will we do in the classes?


Messy Play!

 Classes involve babies from sitting up getting very messy!  

We only use food produce to play in.  Allergens are avoided and all food package labels are on products for parents to check before use.  

Staff hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene, first aid training and prepare the messy play trays in accordance with COVID19 best practice.

Babies don't share resources or food.

What to wear

Wear suitable outdoor clothes for the weather. Children will need to wear clothes that you don't mind getting covered in food!  Bring a change of clothes.  

Bring wipes, towel, baby bath, changing mat and a spare plastic bag to take any wet items home. We won't have washing facilities available.
Wash clothes in washing up liquid in warm water first, then in the washing machine.  

Bring a bag to take your pumpkin home!

What to bring

Bring a picnic blanket, a drink and a snack. Bring a changing mat, potty or other toilet aid, as necessary.  We have a toilet for emergency use only.

We will have hand sanitiser, but you are welcome to bring your own.  We don't wear masks or gloves in the sessions in the Treehouse, but you are welcome to wear one.  We wear them to set-up to retain the integrity of the sanitised resources.

How to get there

Our postcode is CV93AH.  But, this can take you elsewhere! Please look for Alder Mill Business Park and Alder Mill House. Park in the top car park and follow the concrete path to the marquee next to the Ash tree.
