Lockdown 3.0 Operations for January to March 2021

Support Groups

As of Wednesday 6 January 2021, we enter Lockdown 3.0.

The legislation that we are following can be found here:

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1374/made

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020

This came into force on 2 December 2020.

This legislation has been amended here:

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2021/8/contents/made

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 3) and (All Tiers) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

This came into force on 6 January 2021.

The amendments remove all references to 'Parent and Child Groups'.

The definition of 'Support Group' remains unchanged on Page 5.

“support group” means a group or one to one support which is organised by a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution or a public body to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support to its members or those who attend its meetings, including those providing support—

(c) to new parents;

'Support Group' is present in Tier 4 section on page 85 and is NOT marked by an amendment.

Therefore, we can lawfully operate under 'The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No.3)  (All Tiers) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021'.

Our staff and community of families are lawfully able to travel to work and to attend a Support Group with us.

We will continue to liaise with North Warwickshire Environmental Health Team and put in place all required measures to stay as safe as practically possible.  We will continue to operate in our marquees and outdoors (weather permitting).

This has become our new normal practice, but we will remind everyone, to sanitise hands, wear face coverings (as necessary), scan our QR code, and remain 2m social distances at all times.

We will start again on Monday 4 January.

We are in regular contact with North Warwickshire Environmental Health Team who support us with achieving best practice for COVID19 Secure operations.

If you have any concerns over what we do, please email them environmentalhealth@northwarks.gov.uk
